Ready to Add Livestock to Your Farm?
Here's What You Need to Know!

Dreaming of the farm life? We get it — there's something magical about seeing goats grazing in the pasture, pigs rooting happily in the mud, or chickens scratching in the yard. Livestock can bring incredible joy, a sense of purpose, and even a little extra income to your farm.
But before you dive in headfirst, let’s have a real talk.

Farming Is a Lifestyle, Not Just a HobbyAdding animals to your farm is a big, beautiful step — but it’s a daily commitment. Animals need care every single day, rain or shine, holidays included.
Feeling under the weather? Still need to feed and water them.
Planning a vacation? Someone has to be there to care for them while you’re away.
No matter what, your animals will depend on you.

Fencing and Housing First, Animals Later
We know it’s exciting to imagine your pastures full of life — but please don't rush to get animals before you’re fully ready.
Here’s the deal:
  • Proper fencing keeps your animals safe and where they’re supposed to be.
  • Secure housing protects them from predators and the weather.
  • Planning ahead makes everything smoother — for you and for your future livestock.
Please don’t contact us about purchasing an animal until you already have fencing and housing ready and waiting. We want every animal from our farm to go to a home where they’ll be safe, secure, and set up for success. You may ask questions about housing and fencing, but there are tons of videos on YouTube that can help as well.

Things to Think About
Before adding livestock to your life, ask yourself:
  • Do I have time every day for feed, water, and health checks?
  • Can I afford proper feed, fencing, shelters, and veterinary care?
  • Who will take care of the animals if I’m sick or out of town?
  • Am I willing to learn and grow through the challenges?
When you’re honest about your answers, you're setting yourself — and your animals — up for a great life together.

The Rewards Are Worth It
Raising livestock isn’t always easy, but it's deeply rewarding. There’s nothing like earning the trust of a shy goat, hearing your rooster crow at sunrise, or watching healthy piglets run across a pasture. If you're ready to put in the work, the joy and connection you’ll find is unlike anything else.
When you're truly ready — fencing up, shelter built, feed buckets in hand — we'd love to hear from you and help you find the perfect new addition to your farm family.

Ready for a little more joy in your life?
